What are MulmulBaby clothes made from?
Two fabrics. Our muslin line (swaddles, burp cloths, bibs, towels and several clothing styles) is mulmul, a fine, lightweight muslin woven in India from 100% cotton. Our cotton basics (onesies, dresses, sweatshirts, hoodie sets and tees) are 100% cotton. Every garment is one fiber, never a blend.
Is MulmulBaby organic?
No certificate, and we don't claim one. It's mulmul muslin, woven in India, one fiber, never a blend. That's the whole label. If a certification is essential for you, we'd rather tell you now than after you've bought.
What is mulmul?
Mulmul is a fine, soft muslin with a long history in India, where it has been used for babies' clothes and wraps for generations. It's a plain, open weave, light enough that you can see light through it, which is why it drapes softly and feels airy. Read more in muslin vs regular cotton.
Are your clothes suitable for babies with sensitive skin?
We make clothes for skin that feels everything: soft, single-fiber cotton with nothing blended in. Every baby's skin is different, though, and we can't promise how any one baby will react. Care
How should I wash MulmulBaby clothes?
Two fabrics, two rules.
Mulmul muslin — swaddles, bibs, burp cloths, towels and our muslin clothing: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then hang or lay flat to dry. A hot dryer is what makes muslin shrink and go stiff; air-dried, it gets softer with every wash.
Cotton knits — hoodie and jogger sets, sweatshirts, tees, joggers and onesies: machine wash cold, tumble dry low.
For both: skip bleach and fabric softener, and turn printed pieces inside out to keep the print sharp. Full guide on our care page.
Will they shrink?
Like any cotton, a little shrinkage can happen — mostly from hot washes and hot dryers. Washing cold, and air-drying the muslin, keeps it to a minimum. If your child is between sizes, size up. Our size guide has measurements by age.
Ordering, shipping & returns
Where does MulmulBaby ship?
We ship to all 50 US states from Florida. Shipping is a flat $7, and free on orders over $75.
What is your return policy?
You can return new, unworn items with their tags within 30 days of receiving your order. We email you a prepaid return label. Return shipping is free on the first return of an order under $75. If your order shipped free ($75 or more), or on later or partial returns, $7 is deducted from the refund. Full terms are in our Refund Policy.
Where we make things
Where are MulmulBaby products made?
In India. Our muslin is woven in India, and our knitted cotton hoodie sets are made in Tirupur. We work closely with our manufacturing partners and visit them regularly. Our company, REG Group LLC, is based in Davie, Florida.
