When Darshana became a mom, she did what every parent does: went looking for gentle, well-made clothing for her daughter Esha. What she found in the US market was disappointing. It was either confusing to shop for, or it carried price tags most families simply could not afford. As a Rotarian and HR professional who has spent her career fighting for people, Darshana believed good clothing for babies should not cost a fortune. That belief became MulmulBaby.

As a supply chain professional and dad to Rishaan, Prabhu understood both sides of the problem: a supply chain that kept affordable muslin clothing out of American homes, and a father's instinct to give his child the best he could. He knew India had been weaving fine muslin for centuries. The pieces were all there. MulmulBaby was the decision to put them together.
